Why did you chose a Cape Parrot?: I already had a Senegal Parrot so I very much liked Poicephalus. However, I wanted a larger parrot with better talking capability. For a time I considered a Grey Parrot but ended up realizing that a Cape Parrot had all the best things I liked about Greys without the problems. I am really happy that I made this decision and think Cape Parrots make wonderful pets.

How cuddly or affectionate: Fairly cuddly but not always. Loves beak scratches and head rubs when he wants it.

Territorial: No

Size and type of cage: 33x24x49 inches

I have been making videos of how I train tricks to Truman and blogging about my efforts. You can read all about my Cape Parrot and training on my Trained Parrot blog, watch my videos, and follow Truman on facebook.
