Hi back! I'm new, too. In fact we haven't even gotten our baby yet. I think our little girl is the sister of your little guy (that is if you did buy from Jane Norman). Jane wanted to run some tests on our Cockatiel, Jasper, before she lets us bring Ayo home. We just decided on her name today. My husband has a co-worker from Nigeria and he asked her to suggest a nice name. So our little Cape will be named Ayo Dili (pronounced Ihjo Deelee). It means "Joy comes to the house" isn't that sweet? Of course she will probably wind up being called Ijie or Jo-Jo or Dillie or something but I like the thought.
We feel like this is meant to be. We weren't considering Capes but we were talking about other Africans. I looked in the Bird Talk classifieds under Maryland and saw a telephone exchange I recognized since it was in our area. It turns out that Jane lives about 2 blocks from us as the Cape flies

: Hi! I am newly owned by a 4 month old Cape Parrot named Rocky. He can already say "Oh Boy," "Good Boy" and "Good Bird." We are working on "Hello" and "See You Later Alligator."
: My boy looks just like Thor! Beautiful!
: Aren't Capes the sweetest birds on earth? I am trying to learn all I can about diet, exercise, cuddling, etc. The world of birds is all new to me.
: Best,
