Bill, I'm so sorry for your loss but thank you for posting. We lost our grey-head in March from bone marrow cancer. He was only 2 years old
: I recently adopted a beautiful Cape baby, 16 weeks, in good condition from a breeder in Florida. After four weeks of being the sweetest pet anyone could ask for, Bogart stopped eating. We took him to an avian vet and xrayed, tested, etc to the tune of $900.
: A week later he passed away in our arms after not eating. The necropsy determined that he had pieces of plastic in his stomach. The only toy we could find that had that was a piece that had beads around a wooden section. Please check your toys that you put in your bird cage. Even very simple items can become a problem. I hope no one ever has to experience the loss of a pet from something so simple as this.
