: Dear Jean,
: Did you mean go back to nest for a second clutch or for first time this season after a year layoff?
This will be their second clutch for the season. They go about November and about the time the first clutch is weaning, they go back to nest. This would be the end of March first of April. So my season is November-ish thru May-ish. Then they take 6 months off.
If you go to the site in my earlier post, you can see Doc and Isabel's babies. They are P.f.f., which is what I think you have. I will be bringing these chicks to BCV, so you can see them. I would recommend a chick from this pair.
All the chicks I have in the nursery now are sold, but next clutches I only have 2 promised, and subspecies is not a problem.
Karen, on one of my other lists, told some of the story about the trip home with Ahina. Karen is definitely smitten with these birds
Many of my clients by a second and even a third. Same sexes too, so they are really not interested in breeding them.
