Incidentally, we are really seriously interested in trading one of our chicks for an unrelated male baby from this season to be companion/future mate perhaps for Ika, our 15-month pet/aviary bird/ Her sibling Ahina who was parent=raised for 6 months but co-parented and socialized in the box by April and I just was sent to his new home with Susanne Cochran in Colorado(a great story about the airline flight and arrival when he just reverted to being human friendly!!!). Ika is a bit lonely and if we wait too long, she will not be amenable to a newcomer. Also, Susanne needs a female for Ahina so we may be talking two birds. I would love to trade a hen for a cock.
